It’s finally here.  In 13 days, I’ll catch my final flight home from Toulouse, and, perhaps even more depressingly, I’ll be back to full-time work in 15 days.

Not that it’s coming out of the blue. Every day now someone from Erasmus seems to be leaving. Time to wake up from the dream!

Having as much free time as I’ve had lately means I sleep in a lot, cook, apply for work experience, look up postgraduate courses and watch a disgusting amount of American TV (I’m now re-watching Nip/Tuck). Despite not going out a lot for some reason, I’ve been suffering horrific hangovers which only reinforces my belief that I’m ageing prematurely.

And so my thoughts turn, once again, to the future. It’s great having a year abroad to realise what you want to do with the rest of your life, but it doesn’t tell you how to get there.
